A tribute to our friend 3rd October 2007

A Tribute To Marlon.................... We Really Cant Believe It, The Fact That You Are Gone, The Emptiness Inside Us The Feeling Of Being Wronged. To Each Of Us He Was Special, Our Marlon Was Unique, Like A Black Ford Cosworth, Dark Sexy Fast And Sleek. Though He Could Be Unreliable, Here One Day Gone The Next, Not A Word You Would Hear No Phone Calls Or Even A Text. Then The Letterbox Would Rattle, To The Front Door Jo Would Go, There Lying On The Doormat, In Marlons Handwriting, A V.O. But It Was Never Anything Serious, The Reason He Was Behind Bars He Just Didnt Seem To Comprehend, See Police, Slow Down ,Not Go Fast. Lately There Was A Difference He Never Ceased To Amaze, Our Marlon Had Grown Up And It Wasnt Just A Phase. He Said He'd Met The One This Kirsty You Should Know, Mars Opened Up His Heart Spoke Of How He Loved You So. And Then There Were The Lads, Tyrone ,Jason And Steve, The Things They Got Up To You Never Would Believe. Causing All Kinds Of Trouble Be It In Cars Or On Bikes, Then Quickly Scarpering Away In The Latest Nikes. Marlon Would Help Anyone No Job Too Small Thats Hinted, Jody You Should Know This, Big Red Van, Windows Tinted. Drum And Bass In A Club, With Amanda ,He'd Bust A Move, Then Driving Home With Jo, Talking Bout Roads So Smooth. To Lucy, Alice And Stevie-Jade, Girls Be Strong For One Another, For You Have Lost Not Only A Friend, But A Kinda Special Big Brother. I Come To You Now Jenny, His Ever Loving Mum, We Thank You From Our Hearts, For Sharing With Us Your Son. Although The Pain You Feel Right Now, Will Never Ever Be Fully Gone, I Hope Someday You'll Find Some Peace Knowing In Jayden, Marlon Lives On. To All The People I've Missed Out, My Apologies To You , There Was Just So Many Friends , So I Name You Mars's Crew. Now Comes The Time To Say Goodbye, Send Marlon On His Way, And To Those Who Knew Him Dearly, Could Guess What He Would Say. Looking Down On Us From Heaven About To Enter The Pearly Gates, He Stops,Turns, Gives That Cheeky Grin, And Whispers ............................ Dry Your Eyes Mates. By ANNE-MARIE BAILEY
